Michael DiMaria brings more than 30 years of corporate government affairs experience to V&A, with senior roles spanning multiple Fortune 500 telecommunications and technology companies across the United States.

Most recently, Michael served as Arizona Director of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs for Lumen Technologies, formerly CenturyLink. During his tenure, he was instrumental in reducing the company's tax liability by more than $1.5 billion and helped the organization secure two State of Arizona telecommunications contracts worth close to $1 billion. Before joining Lumen, Michael led government affairs work for AT&T, Comcast, and Cox Communications, operating across the Midwest and Southeast on the public policy, regulatory, and legislative issues shaping the telecommunications industry. He later served as Southwest Regional Director at Total Spectrum, where he expanded his work into broader corporate government relations advisory.

His expertise spans tax policy, regulatory engagement, crisis communications, coalition management, and stakeholder engagement at the federal, state, and local levels. The combination — Fortune 500 inside experience, multi-state operating depth, and direct accountability for outcomes measured in hundreds of millions of dollars — is what makes Michael's perspective at V&A genuinely distinctive.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University in Telecommunications and Political Science. He is a certified public speaker.

Within the Arizona business community, Michael serves as Tax Policy Committee Chairman for the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is a member of its Executive Committee. He is a Director on the Board for InvisionAZ and was appointed in December 2020 to the State of Arizona Debt Oversight Commission. He is past Chairman of both the Arizona Tax Research Association (ATRA) and the Western Maricopa Coalition (WESTMARC). He has been honored as the West Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce Businessperson of the Year and has received the Outstanding Member award from the Arizona Tax Research Association.

At V&A, Michael serves as Partner, working directly with corporate clients — particularly those requiring the Fortune 500 perspective on government affairs strategy and execution.
